Dark Maiden Feteasca Neagra of Transylvania

Rating is 0.0 out of five stars based on reviews

One of Dracula's famous girlfriends, The Dark Maiden was known to have the body of a true goddess, with magnetic black eyes and very long black hair. Her savage spirit and rebellious attitude intrigued the Dark Count of Transylvania, who seduced her into a romantic adventure that brought her to an end.

Ruby-red wine, with aromas based on notes of plum jam and cloves. The taste contains accents of plums, blackberries, vanilla and black pepper, and the velvety tannins emphasize the creamy texture. It can be combined with steaks of beef, pork or even lamb, served with grilled vegetables. Very good with burgers or matured cheeses.

The harvest begins when grapes have reached full maturity. For this wine are selected parcels of vines aged over 30 years, with more than 6 tons per hectare harvested. After the selection, destemming and crushing grapes, the must is fermented in stainless steel tanks for two weeks at 29°C. Alcoholic fermentation begins after malolactic fermentation, due to which the wine is velvety, with soft tannins. When the wine is finished, a part of the total quantity of wine was aged in oak barrels for 5 months to get the softness and flavors.

Serving temperature: 18-20° C.
